Golden Crown Night Heron

I have seen a few scattered around the Louisiana bayou. There are Great Blue Herons and Green Herons, black crowns, but this is the first Yellow Crown Night Heron I've seen performing his mating ritual. I watched for awhile, while he was stretching and moving through his motions, hoping to get some attention. Photo © copyright by Darlene Sours.
